The daughter of hip-hop pioneer Eric B. was hospitalized following a severe vehicle crash in Connecticut on Sunday.
Word of the accident first surfaced on social media, when the Instagram feed”The Real Sister2Sister 2.0″ published: “Erica Supreme Barrier, the daughter of music legend Eric Barrier (Eric B) is in extremely critical condition this morning after a horrific vehicle crash in Connecticut.”
The article included that, “Barrier is suffering from severe neck & spine fractures, among her many life-threatening injuries, confirmed Eric B’s longtime publicist,” & that, “The family is at her bedside & asking for your prayers.”
Connecticut state police confirmed that Erica, 28, was in a Mini Cooper Countryman on I-91 in Connecticut before one am on Sunday morning when it”stopped in the center lane” & an oncoming truck” was unable to stop in time & impacted the rear of [Erica’s vehicle ].”
She also”suffered serious injuries,” as stated by the police report,”& was transported to Hartford Hospital.” The truck motorist was not injured, as indicated by to police. The investigation is ongoing.
Eric B. & Rakim are scheduled to play with a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame” Induction Fest later this year along with Questlove & others.
